Each structure is made with Scottish larch, 100% natural sheep’s wool insulation, and time-tested craftsmanship. As brothers growing up in Edinburgh, we’ve always appreciated the beauty and sense of freedom that remote Scotland has to offer. Our childhood summers were spent on the Isle of Tiree, where we would immerse ourselves fully in all that the wild, wet and windy West Coast had to offer. The white beaches, rugged coastline, and strong winds gave a peaceful retreat from the busyness of everyday life. This sense of disconnection is something we feel should be accessible to everybody.
That connection to the outdoors has stuck with us. It’s what led us to start Bobanco, a design-and-build company in Leith, focused on creating luxury saunas and cabins that thrive in Scotland’s toughest environments.

The exteriors of our luxury outdoor saunas are clad in sustainable, locally sourced Scottish larch that weathers to a silvery grey, blending into its surroundings. Inside, smooth alder and local sheep’s wool insulation holds heat while allowing the structure to breathe. From galvanised roofs and solar lighting to high-efficiency wood-fired stoves, every element is chosen for performance and longevity.
