Frequently asked questions.

    • Our saunas and cabins are purpose-built to withstand the most demanding conditions.

    • Designed and constructed in our workshop in Leith, Edinburgh, they are made with high-grade, weather-resistant materials, durable insulation, and precise craftsmanship. From high winds to driving rain and low temperatures, every structure is engineered to remain solid, dry, and warm year-round.

    • Robust detailing like overhanging roofs, elevated bases, and concealed ventilation ensure long-term resilience and minimal maintenance.

    • Lead times vary depending on our current workshop schedule and the complexity of your project. As all of our saunas and cabins are handcrafted to order, we work on a rolling basis:

      • Standard models typically have a shorter lead time.

      • Larger or bespoke builds may take longer due to additional design development and construction drawings.

      • Occasionally, we have flexibility to fast-track certain builds — please reach out early if you have a specific date or event in mind.

    • In some cases, small garden buildings may not require planning permission, but this depends on your local regulations and the specifics of your site. We strongly recommend contacting your Local Planning Authority to confirm. We’re happy to assist by providing scaled engineering drawings to support your application, should one be needed.

    • All Bobanco saunas and cabins are delivered fully assembled, allowing us to maintain the highest level of quality and finish under controlled workshop conditions.

  • We deliver your cabin or sauna fully assembled via truck or trailer. Our delivery service includes careful unloading and placement of the unit onto a pre-prepared foundation (which we’ll guide you on in advance). No further construction is needed on your part, we will fully take care of everything from transport to final positioning

    • To ensure a smooth delivery, we need to drive onto the site. Before starting your build, we’ll ask for:

    • Photos and dimensions of the delivery route and sauna location

    • Your full address so we can assess access via satellite (Google Earth/Maps)

    • Where appropriate, we’re happy to conduct a site visit to fully understand the access logistics and foundation requirements

    • If access is restricted, we may need to factor in the use of cranes or other machinery, we’ll always discuss this with you ahead of time.
